The record follows his Grammy-winning Gemini Rights era as the title track blends neo-soul, alternative R&B, psych-soul, indie rock, and electronic textures around his guitar-driven foundation. Warm guitar melodies sit against hazy synth arrangements, so the sound feels both nostalgic and futuristic at once.

Lacy built his name as the teenage guitarist of The Internet, then moved into a solo career that made him a globally recognized artist. Compton-born, he handles vocals, guitar, bass, drums, keyboards, percussion, and samplers across his work.
