Horror Skunx has released “The Aura Farmer,” a track built around a character from a Friday Night Funkin’ mod of that name. The Dutch musical project is led by Winston Julian, according to the source material.
The project has spent years making tracks tied to internet fandoms and game characters, from Incredibox Sprunki to Poppy Playtime. In the mod, players face off against an anthropomorphic horse in a purple suit and yellow glasses.
The song runs about two minutes and nineteen seconds. The narrator wakes up feeling no stress, claims he was born this way, and calls himself “God in flesh” before the first chorus lands. The hook repeats “feel the heat,” and the bridge taunts anyone lonely enough to be a “LOSER.”
The second verse includes a line about realizing he is not his father’s son, followed by the shouted aside “I’M A HORSE.” The mod’s own notes describe the character as “the coolest guy you’ll ever meet… I think.”
Production credits note live instruments from Nathaniel Wolkstein and TheDarthGlader. The source states this gives the track a fuller sound than a typical meme song might get.
