Tobe Nwigwe joins forces with highlife duo The Cavemen on “CHOP,” a record arriving right when listeners need a lift. The song sits as the second track on The Bridge, his 12-track album out on Friday, October 9, 2026.
Kizzo and Tobe Nwigwe handled production on the record. So the beat carries that sweet spot between rap storytelling and guitar-led contemporary highlife. The Bridge itself was built to connect African and diaspora sounds across Houston, Lagos, and London.
Nwigwe has moved through plenty of sounds since his early projects. He has worked with names like Sia, Busta Rhymes, and Fat Nwigwe, while also dropping records such as “DISGUISE” and “HOOD HYMNS.”
The Cavemen do not stop at “CHOP” either. The duo also appears on “SUPERSTAR” with FirstKlaz, plus the album’s closing track, “WHAT LOVERS DO.” But “CHOP” keeps things simple and warm.
The hook is repetitive on purpose, because the message is about pushing through hard times. The title comes from the Pidgin word for eating or enjoying life’s rewards. So the mood stays celebratory from start to finish.
