Nigerian gospel music powerhouse Tope Alabi opens a new chapter as “Imole Tan” arrives from her latest project, the 17-track IMOLE. The song leads that collection, so it carries plenty of weight from the very first seconds. “Imole Tan” also sets the tone for a body of work built around worship.
Because it sits at the top of IMOLE, the track gives listeners an early glimpse into the project’s direction. It opens the album with a worship-focused sound, yet it never drifts far from the vocal delivery that has stayed central to her music. That voice carries the song, and the arrangement stays out of its way.
As a singer, songwriter, and live performer, Tope Alabi has kept an enduring presence in Nigerian gospel. IMOLE arrives now as her latest release, and “Imole Tan” stands as one of the key entries to explore from it. The rest of the collection waits right behind it.
