Nigerian Afrobeats singer Victony returns with “SLICK (Remix),” and this time he pulls Don Toliver and Summer Walker into the mix. The original first appeared during his brighter, dance-minded Starlife era, but the remix shifts the record into new territory.
The writing keeps its focus on charm, confidence, and the small work of getting someone’s attention. Victony sets that playful tone early, yet his delivery stays controlled. Because he establishes the mood so clearly, both guests step into a lane that already feels defined.
Don Toliver slides through with a dreamy, hazy flow that adds a late-night edge. Summer Walker answers with a soft, soulful turn that balances the verse before hers. This marks another link-up with Don Toliver, following their chemistry on the “Soweto” remix.
“SLICK (Remix)” also lands after a busy stretch for Victony, whose recent run includes the Starlife body of work. That momentum matters here, since the original already made noise in the UK.
What stands out most is how a simple idea about attention never runs out of things to say.
