Waziyung steps into the Afrosounds scene with “Fuji Vibe,” a debut leaning on Fuji texture over the usual street-pop frame. The Lagos-based act, also known as Waziwave, arrives through Zinodict Music.
“Fuji Vibe” is his first release under the imprint founded by Zinoleesky, and it runs two minutes and twenty-six seconds. He is the first artist signed to the label, so the single carries weight beyond the music itself.
He is not entirely new to recording. Waziyung appeared alongside Dainywest on the 2023 single “One Man Soldier,” and his catalogue also holds “Oluwaseyi,” “Olomi,” and “Happiness.” But this signing marks a different chapter for the Lagos act.
The writing keeps things simple. He works an Afro-Beat groove while nodding to the Fuji reference in the title, and he never overfills the short runtime. Instead, he lets the rhythm carry the mood and leaves space around his delivery.
