Fido continues his busy release run with “For Me,” a new Afrobeats record that puts romance at the centre of his sound. The Nigerian hitmaker stays consistent in 2026.

The song follows “Friends With Benefits (F.W.B)”, which dropped earlier in September. But “For Me” shifts direction, because Fido spends it talking about love and the place someone holds in his life.

Melody carries much of the record, while Fido keeps his vocal approach casual over a steady groove. The orchestration stays subservient to the hook, so his performance carries “For Me” organically instead of leaning on heavy production tricks.

Tracks like “Awolowo” and “Joy Is Coming” already pushed him past his first audience. However, this new CD gives him another chance to extend that streak while adding to the melodic side of his growing library.
