Abochi has linked up with Medikal for a new single titled “Long Distance,” a record about loving someone far away. The Ghanaian singer and producer handles the melody himself, while Medikal slides in with a rap verse that speaks to the same tension.
It is not their first time sharing a track. The two previously connected on “Show Me Something,” so this reunion carries some history. Abochi also produced “Long Distance,” which gives him control over how his vocals sit against Medikal’s delivery.
Romance drives the song, but so does distance. The lyrics speak to what couples face when miles separate them, and that subject is handled with care rather than melodrama. One voice carries the ache, the other adds grit.
The release lands after Abochi’s recent work, including Palayblay’s “Sleepless Nights.” He keeps building his catalog, and this partnership adds another name to a growing list.
