De Mthuda returns with “High Heels,” a smooth Amapiano track featuring Spumante that fits snugly into the producer’s Noise project.
The record sits as the sixth track on the eight-song body of work. It arrives with elegant piano progressions and deep log drums that anchor the groove. Spumante’s jazz-inspired touches ride over De Mthuda’s rhythmic foundation, so the vocal delivery feels relaxed yet intentional.
De Mthuda, born Mthuthuzeli Gift Khoza, has been a fixture in the scene since his mid-2010s production days. He dropped Ace Of Spades in 2020 with Ntokzin, and his Story To Tell Vol.2 project also made waves. While his catalogue spans collaborations with Lady Du and Sino Msolo, this pairing with Spumante leans into a more refined lane.
Because the percussion stays crisp and the piano carries the melody, “High Heels” plays like a late-night lounge record. The vocal phrasing glides over the beat without forcing the energy, which lets the production breathe. However, the track still keeps that signature Amapiano bounce intact.
