De Mthuda opens his Noise EP with the hard-hitting instrumental cut “Skuta.”
This lead track lands as the opening statement on the 8-track project, arriving after the producer’s steady run of high-profile releases. “Skuta” runs past the six-minute mark, letting crisp percussion and layered synths breathe over his signature heavy log drums. The groove builds naturally, creating a hypnotic atmosphere built for dancefloors and dedicated listeners of the genre.
De Mthuda, born Mthuthuzeli Gift Khoza in Vosloorus, has been shaping Amapiano since the mid-2010s. He made his production debut with Avenue Sounds in 2016 under House Afrika Records, and later founded Blaqboy Music, signing acts like Sino Msolo. His discography includes the Ace Of Spades album with Ntokzin, which featured vocalists such as Kammu Dee and Lady Du.
Because “Skuta” also spawned a reloaded version featuring Mpumyza, the track clearly anchors De Mthuda’s current creative stretch.
