Nigerian Afro-R&B singer FOLA has finally linked up with Davido on “2am in Toronto,” a collab fans waited on. The track lands as the third song on his 14-track sophomore album, 9, also called Striker. It sits right after the solo record “How Many?” in the sequence, while Dangbana Republik and EMPIRE handle the rollout.
Word of the pairing spread fast once the official tracklist surfaced, because FOLA and Davido on one record is a big look for the Lagos-based act. He has spoken about how the link-up grew out of organic industry connections and mutual respect for his sound. So the buzz around “2am in Toronto” was never just noise.
For anyone just catching on, FOLA is Nigerian singer-songwriter Folarin Odunlami, signed to Bella Shmurda’s Dangbana Republik. He broke through with “alone” and dropped his debut album Catharsis in 2025. OkayAfrica even named him Artist of the Month along the way.
Expectations were high, yet the record carries that weight without buckling.
