Ibraah – Naumwa Ft. Yammi

Tanzanian singer Ibraah keeps building on his recent run of releases as he drops “Naumwa” with Yammi, a Bongo Flava duet. The song sits at track eleven on his huge album “1B: The Other Side of the Face.”

That project carries fifty songs and runs well over two hours, so it needed a moment like this. “Naumwa” gives the record one of its most emotional duets, because both singers trade lines about a love that hurts.

The Swahili title means “I am sick,” and the song treats affection like an illness. Ibraah pleads for his partner to notice his worth, while Yammi answers with her own quiet sadness. Rolling shakers and soft harmonies carry the mood instead of club energy.

Ibraah, real name Ibrahim Abdallah Nampunga, broke through in 2020 after Harmonize signed him to Konde Music Worldwide. Yammi has built her own name through solo records like “Wasiwasi” and “Namtaka,” so she fits beside his smooth delivery.

“Naumwa” works because it avoids easy resolution. Two voices telling one story from opposite sides feels honest, and the chorus sticks without forcing anything.
