Iceking Ochacho keeps things playful on “Vibe Check,” track 11 off his debut album “The Future,” a quick burst of attitude.
The song runs just over two minutes, and Chief Double G handles the production with a clean Afrobeats feel. It lands late in the 15-song run, so it works as a light breather after the heavier moments. Short and snappy, yet it still carries plenty of personality.
Iceking, whose real name is Shedrack Mohammed Adah, comes from Otukpo in Benue State. He first caught attention through freestyle clips online before moving into full original songs. His 2025 EP “I’m Back” came first, while tracks like “Oh Papa” and “Oil on My Head” showed his thankful side. “Vibe Check” flips that mood, because it leans more playful than reflective.
The guest list on “The Future” says plenty about how established acts view him. Jumabee appears on “Blessings,” Magnito on “Call You Back,” and 2Baba on “Young Forever.” That is serious company for a 13-year-old.
So “Vibe Check” suits a relaxed mood, although it never drags. Give it a spin, then drop your favourite Iceking track in the comments below.
