South African producers JayJayy and W4DE link up with Smoove and Mdeshkayro on “Gaido,” a hard-hitting Amapiano record. The song lands as the fourth and final cut on the duo’s joint EP, 2SPIN, and it leans into the underground Sgija sound running through the whole project. JayJayy and W4DE lead the record, while Smoove and Mdeshkayro add further production depth to the instrumental.
Released on September 11, 2026, “Gaido” arrives through Gallo Record Company. The EP seemed unveiled on JayJayy’s birthday, so the closing slot carries some weight. After the opening “Jaiva uJuluke,” the project moves through its collaborative sound before this energetic final cut shuts things down. JayJayy and W4DE keep “Gaido” rooted in the street-driven side of Amapiano, but they leave enough movement in it for the dancefloor.
That balance matters, because Sgija lives or dies on how raw it stays. The four-track run gives the pair room to stretch without losing the underground feel they started with. Have you streamed “Gaido” yet? Drop your thoughts in the comment section below.
