Ghanaian Afropop singer King Promise has delivered “Melody,” a solo single fans have been waiting on since his joint project run.
The track arrives on 26th October, adding to a busy stretch for the singer. It follows “See What We’ve Done,” his joint album with Mr Eazi, which gave listeners “That Way” and “No. 1 Fan.” Writing and production credits for “Melody” are still light, so the title itself carries the weight of expectation.
Known for blending highlife, Afrobeats, and contemporary R&B, King Promise has built his name on hook-driven records. His 2024 album “True to Self” pushed him further abroad, while “Terminator” passed 200 million streams. He also stayed visible as a guest, appearing on CKay’s “ZERO” and KOJO BLAK’s “Mon Bébé.”
So does “Melody” meet what fans expected? A solo release gives him room to return to the core of his sound. For anyone who loves silky Ghanaian Afropop with an easy hook, this one deserves an early spot on the playlist.
