Nigerian producer KRL Soundz has released “Happy Birthday,” a new record featuring fast-rising singer Mavo, built around the singer’s birthday celebration. The beat comes from Ufedo, who handled the production of “Happy Birthday.”
The song runs for about 3 minutes and 20 seconds. It was released through Kilogbede Records Limited, while KRL Soundz leads the recording and brings Mavo in for the occasion.
“Happy Birthday” is one half of a two-track project titled HBD. The other song, “Today,” features Mavo and Kadi and moves in a romantic direction instead. So the birthday record carries the celebration, but its companion takes a different route.
Mavo, whose full name is Oseremen Marvin, marks his 23rd birthday with the release. He contributes to the performance and the songwriting, yet KRL Soundz pulls both recordings together under the HBD title.
The HBD package is short, but each song gives listeners something different to explore. Is “Happy Birthday” already on your playlist? Share your verdict in the comment section below.
