Mavin Records singer and songwriter Lovn opens a new chapter with his debut studio project, “SOUNDBENDER,” a nine-track EP. The project arrived on September 25vOC, 2026, and it marks his first full body of work under the label. He carries most of the running time alone, while Ayanfe, Amaeya, L.A.X, and Terry Apala drop in as guests.
Vocally, “SOUNDBENDER” leans on restraint rather than force. Lovn moves through contemporary Afrobeats and Afrofusion, but he also pulls from traditional Nigerian styles like Fuji and Apala. That mix asks a lot of a singer, yet he holds the tone steady across the nine records. On “DON’T LEAVE ME” he sounds exposed, and on “OMO TI O COMMON II” he flips into something more assured.
The writing keeps circling love, independence, self-worth, and the push for a better life. Those themes suit a voice that never rushes. “BABY” stays close to relationship territory, while other tracks reach for financial survival and ambition. So the EP shifts mood without ever losing its Nigerian identity.
