Ghanaian rapper Lyrical Joe keeps building on his catalogue as “Warrior Sound” arrives with Kenyan heavyweight Khaligraph Jones riding shotgun. The new single pairs two lyricists from opposite ends of the continent, and it lands on all the major digital streaming platforms. Both men trade long verses over a hip-hop format that leaves room for wordplay instead of a quick hook.
The record runs close to six minutes, so neither rapper gets squeezed into a radio-friendly corner. Lyrical Joe and Khaligraph Jones wrote around pushing through criticism, disappointments, and doubt while still holding on to hunger. That theme carries through their individual lines, although the result plays more like a statement of tenacity than a battle-rap exchange.
Lyrical Joe, born Joseph Gamor in Accra, has moved through singles and projects including “Photo” and “5th August 10 The Ep.” He also appeared alongside Joe Kay on “Champion.” Khaligraph Jones brings the East African side, and his presence stretches the record past Ghana’s borders.
The cross-border link makes sense because African hip-hop audiences keep rewarding records that travel. Early interest backs that up, since the official video landed on Ghana’s YouTube music trending list shortly after release.
