South African Amapiano producer McWizBeats has linked up with Njelic and a full crew of vocalists for “Zola Badu”.
The record brings Njelic together with Mpho Spizzy, Jadenfunky, Rhythm Tee and Cuba Beats, so five voices share one groove. McWizBeats handles the boards himself. His kick drums hit hard, while metallic shakers and sharp snares keep the mid-tempo moving. Log drum patterns and a tumbling sub-bassline sit under electric piano melodies, shiny synth harmonies and airy pads.
Yet nothing gets buried in that low end. The engineering leaves breathing room, because every raspy accent and layered harmony lands clean. Njelic carries his usual street authority, but the younger voices around him add bounce and colour. Together they turn “Zola Badu” into a track built for car sound systems and weekend street bashes.
