Minollar is back with a follow-up that answers the call of fans waiting for more dancefloor heat, as “Ngifun’uthando” finally arrives.
The new single features Eastern Cape-born producer Dr Dope and lands as the second track on her 4-track EP, Let’s Dance. “Ngifun’uthando” translates to “I want love” in Zulu/Xhosa, giving the record an emotional core that cuts through the beat.
Instead of slowing things down, Minollar delivers that message over a fast and infectious Gqom and Afro-House rhythm. Dr Dope handles production with a heavy blend of Sgubhu-inspired beats, deep bass, and syncopated percussion. The hard-hitting instrumental gives Minollar’s soaring vocals a strong foundation, so the vulnerability in the lyrics sits against the intensity of the groove.
