South African Maskandi artist uZondi has delivered his third studio album, “WENKULUNKULU,” a ten-track project issued through Ziiki Media. The title is a Zulu call to God, and the album follows that theme across its run.
The rollout started with the cover art before the full project landed. Thabiso Shenge handled production, while the writing credits list uZondi, born Braveman Nkosingiphile Zondi, alongside Shenge. So the words and sound stay inside a small circle.
“NIHLALA KULIPHI?” came out first and now opens the album. It runs about 38 minutes overall, and the songs stay compact. The title track is the shortest at 2:45, but “Angisayisebenzi” stretches to 5:27.
uZondi also arrives with form behind him. Earlier projects “Ngingohlakaniphile” and “Into Yamahhala” built the path, while a recent single, “Musa ukuziyekelela,” featured Njabulo Langa. This album deepens that style instead of changing it.
