Mshinwemali – Myeke (feat. Sne Ntuli)

Mshinwemali and Chulumanco M link up with Sne Ntuli on “Myeke,” a Maskandi record fans have been waiting to hear in full. The song sits third on their joint EP “Awulutho Wena,” and it turns the pain of walking away into something melodic. The title translates to “leave him” or “let it go,” and the record leans into that instruction without dressing it up.

It runs about four minutes and twenty-two seconds, while Thabiso Shange produced it alongside Insika Yethonga. The song centers on the exhaustion of holding onto someone who was never meant to stay. It treats that realization as both heartbreak and relief, so the emotion never sits in one place too long.

Sne Ntuli brings smooth counter-vocals that sit against Mshinwemali’s sharper delivery, and the conversation never turns into a solo complaint. The production keeps the traditional Maskandi frame intact, built on fast acoustic guitar picking and rhythmic progressions. That gives the emotional weight somewhere to travel.

The response has been steady for a genre that rarely breaks into mainstream charts. “Myeke” peaked at number seven on Spotify South Africa and pulled over 258,000 streams in its first week. On Apple Music, it climbed to number thirty-one.
