Maskandi singer Ntencane is back in the spotlight as he drops “UKHETHE MINA,” a love song built on a joyful chant. The Zulu title means “you chose me,” and he delivers that line like a man still surprised by his luck. He opens quietly, almost hushed, before settling into a warm declaration of deep love. That soft start is deliberate, because it lets his voice carry the weight instead of the instruments.
The track sits as the fifth cut on his 16-song album “Awuyiphumuze,” released on February 13, 2026 by Mkhosana, with The Orchard handling distribution. It runs five minutes and 20 seconds, so the chant has space to build and lift. Listeners clearly feel it, since over 350,000 Shazams pile up mostly around the three-and-a-half-minute mark.
He is not carrying the album alone, though. “Love Language” brings in Naledi Aphiwe, “Ngiyazifela Ngawe” features Thee Legacy, and “Khotha La” honours Mjikjelwa. That mix of duets and tributes keeps the record warm throughout. For a genre that has always sung love in plain words, “UKHETHE MINA” proves a simple phrase can still hit hard when the delivery is right.
