Pandamonae keeps his run of soulful records moving as he returns with a new introspective single titled “No Be So.”
The Afro-fusion song was produced by CeeCee Beatz. It deals with survival and the gap between what people expect and what life delivers. Money pressure sits at the centre, so it speaks to anyone trying to make ends meet.
That outlook fits how he describes himself. In a Pulse interview, he explained his stage name. He picked the panda because he sees everything in black and white. No sugarcoat. A record about plain reality suits that view.
Born Olayinka Okoya Fofah, he spent years in Kaduna with his mother and sister. He calls himself an introverted extrovert. He also says he lives in his head a lot, but that inner world shows up in how he writes.
“No Be So” stays in his soulful, cinematic lane. Smooth, ambient percussion supports the storytelling. Nothing crowds the message, so the words stay up front. It is not a party record, yet it is built for quieter moments when the day has been long and the numbers don’t add up.
