Ghanaian rap icon Sarkodie has finally given fans “Deja Vu” featuring award-winning singer KiDi, a romantic Afro-R&B and Hiplife single via Ziiki Media. The track serves as the lead single and title track of his forthcoming five-track Deja Vu EP. That project is scheduled for release on November 27, 2026.
On “Deja Vu,” Sarkodie takes a reflective approach to love. He addresses past mistakes and accepts responsibility for the hurt caused in his relationship. His verses move between English and Twi as he expresses regret and a desire to rebuild. Marriage also forms part of his commitment here. The song runs for 3 minutes and 57 seconds, blending Afro-R&B melody with Hiplife and Afrobeats elements. Rather than chasing a party mood, the collaboration centres on vulnerability, accountability, and the fear of repeating painful experiences.
KiDi, an award-winning singer, joins Sarkodie on this one. The pairing carries weight because both artists come from Ghana’s music scene.
As the title track of the upcoming project, “Deja Vu” offers listeners a look at the romantic and introspective direction of the EP. It is a softer lane for a rapper known for hard bars.
