Ghanaian singer Sista Afia returns to the airwaves with “Boss It,” a punchy Afro-pop record built around confidence and self-belief. The Accra-born act uses the song to push a simple idea, telling listeners to take charge of their own decisions.
Apya handles the production, shaping a bass-heavy instrumental that moves quickly under Sista Afia’s vocals. She announced the single on her social pages, and the record landed on Friday, October 9, 2026.
It follows “Motherfxcker,” which arrived in August 2026, so “Boss It” gives her another entry this year. The track leans on the same bold energy that has followed her across releases like “Jeje” and “Asuoden (Stubborn Proud),” while Apya keeps the low end thick and the rhythm steady.
Based in Accra, Sista Afia has built a name for herself as both singer and songwriter. She has also announced plans for a new studio album, which suggests more material is on the way.
For a scene that keeps blending Afro-pop with highlife and hip-hop touches, records like this one show how flexible the sound has become. Yet the message stays personal.
