T Paul steps away from his usual high-energy sound with “Tusingwiire,” a tribute record honouring his late father Felix Basiime Bandeeba. The Western Ugandan singer, also called T Paul 256 and the “Kakoba Boy,” released the single on October 6, 2026.
He performs the song mostly in Runyankole-Rukiga, and it was originally performed by Akayo Singer. Instead of the upbeat direction many fans expect from him, “Tusingwiire” moves slowly and centres on remembrance. That choice gives the record a personal weight his dance tracks rarely carry.
T Paul, born Taremwa Paul, records under Alpha Music and works with Producer Bruno Beats and Derock Hudson. He sings in both Runyankore and English, so switching to his native language here feels deliberate rather than accidental.
The timing also matters, because his TPaul Live in Concert is set for October 24, 2026, at Kakyeka Stadium in Mbarara City. So the single arrives as a quiet counterweight to the build-up around that show.
