Taylor Jasmine has teamed up with Carterefe for “Met You,” a romantic single that marks another step in her releases. The American singer-songwriter, also known as Cravetay, shares the record with the Nigerian content creator and music personality.
Released on October 20, 2026, “Met You” blends Afropop and R&B around a personal story of love and an unexpected meeting. Faithkeyz produced the track, while both artists wrote for it alongside additional input from Afrobeats star Davido.
The record draws from Taylor Jasmine’s journey from Atlanta, Georgia, to Lagos, Nigeria, where she met Carterefe. Their real-life connection shapes the song’s central message, so the relationship itself became the inspiration behind the release.
Gentle rhythms and soulful melodies carry the song, but the two vocal styles do the heavy lifting. Taylor Jasmine brings airy, tender vocals, while Carterefe adds a street-inspired delivery that changes the temperature of the record.
“Met You” is out now on YouTube and Spotify. Give it a listen and drop your thoughts in the comment section below.
