Enugu-born rapper TUFF KING returns with a calmer hip-hop and Afrobeats blend on “Sound of Freedom,” a single built for groove over speed. The record lands after a milestone stretch for the artist, so it carries some weight.
Released through Black Sheep Pen Records and GB3 Collective Ltd., the single runs at 93 BPM. That measured tempo gives the rap elements and African-inspired sounds room to breathe, and the result feels unhurried rather than flat.
Rather than loading the beat with high-energy dance patterns, TUFF KING keeps things deliberate on “Sound of Freedom.” The choice suits his range, because the song sits well in quiet listening moments and long drives alike.
The single follows his February 2026 debut album, Black Sheepizen (The 13th Disciple), and arrives after Apple Music named him a Rap Life Africa artist earlier in 2026. He is clearly building on that attention instead of rushing it.
