Nigerian Indigenous rapper Jeriq has teamed up with Tuff King for a new hip-hop record titled “Different Wave.”
The song brings Jeriq’s distinctive Igbo trap style together with Tuff King’s presence over a hard-hitting hip-hop backdrop. Early snippets point to a confident record, and the subject matter stays on message throughout. The bars are built around hustling on a different path, trusting divine guidance and pushing beyond financial limitations. So the writing carries the weight here, while the beat gives it room to land.
It follows Jeriq’s sophomore album KING, which arrived in August 2026 with appearances from Victony, Bella Shmurda, Blaqbonez and other notable acts. The Enugu-born rapper looks set to keep that momentum going with another record centered on his unmistakable rap identity. “Different Wave” seemed released on Wednesday, September 16, 2026, although the post is marked unreleased.
