South African Amapiano producer 034 Mafia has packed “Mafia Business” with rising names and eleven tracks built for the dance floor. The album pulls other producers and performers into the recordings, so listeners get a project that moves between Amapiano, Gqom and disco influences.
Fans who have followed his sound will find plenty to unpack here. The opening track, “ABANGANI,” features Tkcreedlion, 4THEE_ZA, Miikey Ndlovu and Q Bonke, making it one of the busiest collaborations on the album. Meanwhile, “Mission Impossible” brings Twoo Kayy and M00tion into the picture.
“Mission Lowpass” features TrpmuziQ and The Musical Selectors SA, and that same selector duo also appears on “New Age Thesha (GQOM & DISCO)” alongside Ruvano. The title hints at a different direction from the usual Amapiano sound. Also, 034 Mafia works with Djy Bongz Deekota and Djy’Tumie on “Diesel Ya Tura.”
Retro-Tee and TrpmuziQ join him on “ONETWO (Festive Mix),” while ZinedinexSguche appears on “Shaya Umdantso.” So the record spreads its features across the tracklist instead of leaning on one guest.
