Gospel minister Chioma Jesus joins Prinx Emmanuel on a new faith-filled single titled “Jesus is Life (JIL).”
The pairing pulls from two different corners of Nigerian gospel. Chioma Jesus built her ministry on indigenous praise and Igbo-language worship, and songs like “Bulldozer” and “Okemmuo” made her name. Prinx Emmanuel, however, works in contemporary Afro-gospel and often mixes in Nigerian Pidgin. So “Jesus is Life (JIL)” sits where tradition meets a younger sound.
Prinx Emmanuel did more than sing, because he also produced the track. That gives him a hand in the whole sound. It matters, since a producer-feature usually shapes the mood from the first bar.
The message comes from a familiar verse. The title echoes John 14:6, where Jesus calls himself the way, the truth, and the life. The song uses that idea to argue that real life in Christ goes beyond earthly circumstances.
The collaboration also opens a door for Chioma Jesus. It lets her reach younger gospel listeners without leaving her established audience behind. Her loyal fans get the voice they know, while newer ears get a modern entry point.
