Dr Paul Enenche returns with a prayer for spiritual refreshing, “Send Us The Rain,” a 4:17 single ahead of Dunamis’ 30th anniversary. The song arrives as another entry in a catalogue already led by the long “In His Presence” series, which has reached Volume 14.
Strings carry this one. Julian Gamboa plays electric guitar, while cellist Antonio Marin adds depth and violinist Allison Marin brings classical colour. The words stay simple, so a congregation can follow them easily. Instead of fast beats, the arrangement lets the prayer lead.
That range is worth noting. “Send Us The Rain” sits far from the upbeat “Wahala Enter Wahala,” yet both come from the same songwriter. His catalogue also includes “You Are Always There,” “Time For Shift” and “Let Me Want What You Want.”
He is a medical doctor, author and songwriter as well as a pastor. He serves as founder and senior pastor of Dunamis International Gospel Centre in Abuja. His ministry says he has travelled to more than 50 countries this year with his wife, Dr Becky Enenche, while its outreach includes food distribution and health programmes.
