Drifta Trek turns to prayer on “Nshaye,” a heartfelt record featuring Chile Breezy that speaks plainly about waiting. Mix Machine produced the record, while Fanwell directed the official video. So “Drifta Trek Nshaye” arrives as a full audio and visual package. Chile Breezy joins him and helps bring the song’s message to life.
The message hits close to home for many people. Drifta Trek talks about doing everything he can to change his life. Yet the breakthrough still feels far away. He tries to make things work on his own, but one challenge follows another. That frustration shapes the whole record. Meanwhile, he watches others make progress. So he turns to God with a plea. He asks God to remember him and grant him the same breakthrough that others experienced.
Not every record speaks this plainly about waiting. Many listeners feel their efforts are not paying off despite real determination. So the song works as comfort as much as confession.
Drifta Trek has spent about a decade in Zambian music, and his output stays steady. Recent releases include “Ili Bad Sichu,” “You Shall Be Humbled” with Vinchenzo, and “Niwebo” with Flex ZM. He also joined Frank Ro on “Plus One” and Shokii on “No Size.” Still, “Nshaye” stands out for how openly it admits frustration.
