South African deep house musician Echo Deep has linked up with Scrooge KMOA for a slow-burning electronic cut titled “Groovy 2.0.” The record is built for mood-driven listeners who want groove over quick thrills.
Echo Deep and Scrooge KMOA keep things patient behind the boards. Rolling synth pads sit over subtle electric keys and clean percussion shakers. A four-on-the-floor kick drum drives a flowing sub-bassline, while layered drum loops hold the bounce together. The mix leaves generous headroom, so nothing feels crammed.
For years, Echo Deep has earned respect on the international dance circuit for tribal percussion mapping and rich synth work. KMOA slides back into Scrooge mode here, and the pair’s musical connection is plain to hear.
Tension builds through tiny frequency modulations before the track settles into a subterranean groove. That shift locks dancers into a contemplative trance, and the arrangement rewards anyone willing to ride it out.
