South African producer Echo Deep returns with “Uzozisola,” an extended mix from his album “Vusani,” built with Sambo Sq and Scrooge KMOA. The record sits deep in the house lane, but the mix runs long enough to stretch that groove right out.
The extended format lets the arrangement breathe, so the layers open up slowly instead of rushing the drop. Echo Deep shares the load with Sambo Sq and Scrooge KMOA, and the blend of voices widens the palette. The “Vusani” album carries eleven tracks in all, with this one sitting fifth in the running order. That placement helps the project hold its balance between intensity and flow.
On “Uzozisola,” Echo Deep leans into his South African heritage and folds in a mix of voices and styles. House music from that corner of the continent has always moved this way, warm and patient. Here the extended mix gives that tradition room to stretch out properly.
