Nigerian Afrobeats singer FOLA returns with his sophomore album “9,” a 14-track project and bold follow-up to his debut.
The album arrives on October 9, 2026, and its title carries real meaning. Pronounced “Striker,” “9” borrows from football, nodding to the forward who delivers when it matters most. That idea shapes the whole record, because FOLA wants every track to hit like a goal.
He stacks the guest list with care. Ayra Starr joins him on “treat u right,” while “it’s over” closes things out with Bella Shmurda and Zlatan. Fans also get “miss u ii (nriri),” “attention!” and “fine ting (fine $hit)” along the way.
Since breaking through in 2022 with “Ginger Me,” FOLA has moved between Afrobeats and Afro-R&B. He signed to Bella Shmurda’s Dangbana Republik, so this album feels like a homecoming of sorts.
