BNXN continues a partnership from his catalogue as he drops “Shamaya” with rising Nigerian singer and songwriter FOLA. The melodic Afrobeats collaboration lands as the fifth song on his six-track EP, Still In Charge. It sits near the close of the project, setting up the final solo track, “If You Like.”
The release arrived on October 1, 2026, after an anticipation-building snippet had already pulled attention ahead of the full song. FOLA brings complementary harmonies, while BNXN keeps his laid-back vocal delivery over a crisp, mid-tempo production. The two singers trade lines smoothly, so the melody stays central throughout the record.
The pairing also extends their musical connection after “Very Soon,” which appeared on BNXN’s CAPTAIN album. That earlier link gives this new outing another chapter, and it adds a collaborative highlight to Still In Charge.
Fans who liked what the snippet promised should find the finished version holds up, because the song does not drift far from that first tease. It keeps things simple instead of reaching for a bigger moment. Does “Shamaya” meet what you were expecting? Drop your thoughts in the comment section below.
