GoldMax keeps his run moving as he links with Blacks Jnr and Solan for the new single “Iyayaya,” a late entry on his 2026 project. The song sits twelfth in the “State of Gqom” album collection, so it lands near the close of a 13-track effort.
Blacks Jnr and Solan join GoldMax on this one, and their contributions match the strong pace of the song. The two guests mesh well together, and they add texture and depth without disrupting the flow. “Iyayaya” also fits nicely into the wider arc of the album.
The South African musician keeps his style lean here, mixing local sounds with a stripped-back take on the genre’s hallmark rhythms. That economy gives the record its potency, while the guest verses keep the energy steady.
Placed so close to the end, “Iyayaya” works as a late highlight on the project. It also reflects the changing face of South African music, and GoldMax holds things together across almost a dozen tracks.
