Hanstone – Ningefanyaje

Tanzanian singer-songwriter Hanstone returns with a new Bongo Flava single titled “Ningefanyaje,” a record built for quiet reflection. The Swahili title translates to “What would I have done?”, so the song arrives with weight before a single note plays.

“Ningefanyaje” lands as an official release, and Dundo Africa handles distribution. The arrangement moves at a smooth mid-tempo pace, with acoustic elements carrying the melody. Hanstone keeps his vocal at the centre, while the production stays warm rather than crowded.

His catalogue shows range. “Bébé” arrived earlier this year, while “Yataniua” and the EP “Amaizing” sit further back. He also featured on Maua Sama’s “Iokote,” a song that travelled well beyond Tanzania.

Songs like this one rarely chase the dancefloor. They settle into slower evenings instead, when someone needs a moment to think.
