Nigerian singer and rapper Iceking Ochacho keeps his debut album “The Future” moving with “Oyi’oche,” deep in the tracklist. The song lands on a 15-track project that also carries “Intro,” “FYP,” “Away,” “Money Na Cheche,” “Dreams,” and “No Competition.”
“Oyi’oche” arrives as part of the album rollout, yet it holds its own spot among the heavier cuts. The Otukpo, Benue State artist built the project without a label deal behind him, so the release carries his own push. He has spoken about working with 2Face Idibia, better known as 2baba, and that link says plenty about where his sound can travel.
Across “The Future,” Iceking Ochacho moves between Afrobeats and rap without losing his footing. The album also features Jumabee on “Blessings,” so the guest list stays lean rather than crowded. Real name Shedrack Mohammed Adah, he started young, and that early start shapes how he writes.
For a debut, the range on display matters more than any single track. Have you listened to “Oyi’oche” yet? Drop your take in the comments below.
