Zimbabwean praise and worship group Joyfull Praise Choir has released a new record titled “Hallelujah Inziyo Yangu” with Gamaliel Blessing Madindi.
The title means “Hallelujah, my song,” and gratitude drives the theme. The song is built on bright keys and lively drums. A rolling bass keeps the beat moving underneath.
The words repeat the hallelujah call, so listeners can pick up the sing-along quickly. The voices stay bright and sincere throughout. The worship spirit is held steady from start to finish.
Joyfull Praise Choir rose to fame with “Ngoro Yeminana” and earned a Maranatha Africa Continental Awards nomination. The leader has said the choir can handle any genre. That range is on display here, carried by the arrangement and the vocal delivery.
