K.Keed and Orish return with “iThemba Le Lokishi,” a collaboration from the uMgaranto II album that dropped in July this year.
The track sits at number eleven on the project and runs three minutes and twenty-four seconds. K.Keed, born Mihlali Koyana, has been releasing music since 2019 and is signed to Gallo Record Company. Orish handles the production here, creating space for the message rather than crowding it.
The title translates to “hope of the township” in isiXhosa. That carries weight, especially coming from an artist who grew up in Gugulethu. K.Keed has built her catalogue around intentional songwriting, moving between introspective hip hop and collaborations with names like DC and KAKAPANI. Her 2025 album Bite the Bullet and the 2022 EP ALTER-EGO showed her range.
