DJ Maphorisa, DJ Tunez and Wizkid close their South Gidi EP as “Fiesta Forever” lands with Zaba and Zeh McGeba on the final stretch. The record arrived on October 24, 2025, so it finishes a project built to link Lagos and Johannesburg. It grew from London studio sessions in September 2025, when clips of the trio working surfaced online and stirred fans up.
The title says plenty, since “South” nods to Maphorisa’s roots while “Gidi” holds down Wizkid’s Lagos. Wizkid anchors “Fiesta Forever” with smooth delivery, gliding over piano-led production without forcing the energy. Maphorisa’s Amapiano touch sits underneath, and DJ Tunez curates the flow with an ear for Afro-fusion transitions. Zaba and Zeh McGeba add South African texture, so the record feels like a proper handshake.
Fans online celebrated South Gidi as a unity project, pushing back against the usual Nigeria-versus-South-Africa comparisons. That context gives the closer extra weight, because it ends on a celebratory note instead of fading out.
