Kota Embassy continues building on their catalogue as they drop “Dimpho”, a fresh cut pulled from the Grootman Series II project. The song sits as the fourth track on the twelve-song album, and it carries a strong presence within that run. “Dimpho” lands in the middle of the project, so it holds a key spot in the tracklist. The placement feels deliberate because the ordering shapes how the whole record plays out. It is a South African record, and that local lens gives the sound real depth.
The arrangement is built around that cultural feel, and the beat carries a punchy energy. However, it never overcrowds the mix, so the groove stays clear. Kota Embassy keeps things tight across the project, and “Dimpho” reflects that focused approach. The track forms part of a broader set that supports the album’s planned structure and rhythm.
If you have not sat with it yet, the record rewards a close listen to how it is put together. The production choices do most of the talking here. So, what do you make of the beat on “Dimpho”? Drop your thoughts in the comments below.
