Kota Embassy has dropped the “Grootman Series II” album, and the South African act brought Dj Mremz, Ivy Beatz, Goitse Levati and G Master along. The record leans hard on collaboration, but the real story sits in how the sound gets built.
Each guest pulls the arrangement somewhere new. Dj Mremz and Ivy Beatz handle their end, while Goitse Levati and G Master add different textures to the mix. The “Grootman Series II” album also skips the usual intro, so the music starts talking straight away.
That choice puts pressure on the beats, because nothing warms the listener up first. The production has to hold attention from the first bar. But the stacked lineup gives the project enough movement to carry it.
Kota Embassy uses the guest list to stretch the sonic palette instead of playing it safe. The album arrives in 2026, and the group artistry behind it stays front and centre throughout.
