Kota Embassy keeps pushing South Africa’s shifting soundscape forward as Malcom X arrives with Tiego Laz riding shotgun on the record. The song sits third on the 12-track “Grootman Series II” album, yet it carries weight beyond its slot.
Malcom X lands as a razor-sharp addition to the project, and the Tiego Laz pairing adds texture without crowding the message. Two different voices lock into a compact frame here. The result reflects the creative drive running through the middle stretch of the album.
Kota Embassy chose concentration over sprawl on this one. Malcom X engages through tight storytelling rather than expansive intricacy, and that choice keeps the record punchy from start to finish. Nothing drags.
The song, released in 2026, fits into the larger story of Kota Embassy’s work. It also speaks to a scene increasingly confident in its own patterns and pace. Listeners chasing that sound will find plenty to hold onto.
