South African artist Mayonnaise Cebisa is back as “Nhliziyo Yami,” his new single with Nossy Spheh and GQIBU, lands for Maskandi fans.
The track brings three voices into one space, while indigenous guitar strings give it a clear South African character. Composed and arranged by Sihle Dludla, “Nhliziyo Yami” also carries Zulu backing harmonies from Mudemude Gumede, which add depth to the record.
Mayonnaise Cebisa leads the artistic direction here, but Nossy Spheh and GQIBU shape the song with their own distinct performances. The result sits between established indigenous sounds and a broader South African Rock influence.
That blend makes sense because Maskandi keeps pulling in new textures without losing its roots. Each artist brings something different, so the collaboration never feels like a simple tag-on.
