Meja Kunta has linked up with Lulu Diva for “Ahadi,” a Singeli record sitting at Track 2 on his new EP. The song landed on October 5, 2026, as part of Chapter One, his six-track project released through EMPIRE.
The Swahili title translates to “Promise,” so the record leans into relationship territory. Meja Kunta drives the fast-paced Singeli foundation, while Lulu Diva brings a smoother melodic vocal to the mix.
That contrast gives “Ahadi” its shape, because his rapid delivery and her softer runs pull in different directions. Yet the two sounds meet somewhere familiar within Tanzania’s current Singeli and Bongo Flava space.
Meja Kunta has been building steadily. Chapter One also carries “Uloda” with Chino Kidd and Mabantu, so he keeps balancing solo cuts with guest-assisted ones.
Fans waiting on new Meja Kunta material finally have something to chew on, and “Ahadi” answers that wait without straying too far from his lane.
