Phyno links up with vocal powerhouse Oxlade for “Magret,” a melody-rich collaboration on his studio effort, Let That Sink In (LTSI). The Penthauze boss stays true to his indigenous rap roots here. But this one leans softer, trading street grit for something built around romance and feminine charm.
Oxlade handles the hook, weaving soaring harmonies over the record. His falsetto carries the emotional weight, while Phyno answers with his usual raspy Igbo-English flow. The writing keeps things simple and direct. No heavy storytelling, just a warm back-and-forth about attraction.
The sound matches that mood. Delicate guitar riffs and snappy percussion shakers sit under a rolling, fluid bassline. It moves at a mid-tempo pace, so the groove never rushes. Clean engineering lets every vocal run and rap bar cut through clearly.
“Magret” works because both artists stay in their lane. Phyno drops charismatic phrases with ease, yet he never crowds the melody. Oxlade, meanwhile, gives the track its sweet center. Have you streamed “Magret” yet? Drop your take in the comments below.
